Introduction
With the blessings of Lord Vinayagar, September got underway with many accomplishments being acknowledged, most notably AIC RAISE, which was highlighted in a Tamil publication. Our strong partnership has made a significant impact toward a better, greener future, with sustainability and innovation at the core of our initiatives. September included AIC RAISE’s participation at Global Bio India, and we are proud to announce that we have been selected as an incubator under the GENESIS scheme. To further support future entrepreneurs, AIC RAISE also hosted industrial visits for the ATAL Basic FDP for faculty members.
Vinayagar Chaturthi Mahotsavam:
- In an effort to keep our co workers motivated, AIC RAISE members celebrated Vinayagar Chaturthi on September 7.
- We were divided into ten groups and tasked with creating clay replicas of the Vinayagar statue, promoting eco-friendly celebrations.
AIC RAISE Showcases Innovation at Global Bio India 2024:
- On September 16, AIC RAISE participated in Global Bio India at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
- We highlighted innovative approaches accelerating the transition from bioscience to bioeconomy.
- Our Associate Vice Presidents, Mr. Pradeepraj and Dr. Suriyaraj, attended this incredible event from September 12-14, organized by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
- This platform allowed us to engage with the evolving ecosystem of bio-innovation, bio-energy, and sustainability.
- We had the pleasure of connecting with the BIRAC community and learning about cutting-edge biomaterials and products that will influence the future of biotechnology and sustainable solutions.
GENESIS Scheme: AIC RAISE Chosen as Incubation Partner:
We are thrilled to announce that AIC RAISE has been selected as an implementation incubator under the GENESIS (Gen Next Support for Innovative Startups) scheme by the MeitY Startup Hub. We are proud to be recognized in the G2 category as a distinguished support system for innovative entrepreneurs. This initiative creates opportunities for early-stage deep-tech firms to access pilot funding or investment capital through grants, seed funds, and investments. We look forward to empowering startups, particularly from Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns, to strengthen our ecosystem through impactful programs.
AIC RAISE Startups Excel: Recognized in Life Sciences and Biotechnology:
- On September 19, two of our incubated startups, "Backyard Creators" and "Ardor Biomed," were featured in the "Coffee Table Book" under the Life Sciences and Biotechnology category by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Government of India.
- This recognition highlights the innovative and sustainable solutions being developed in our incubator, particularly in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors.
Onam Celebration at AIC RAISE:
AIC RAISE celebrated Onam with our energetic coworkers, embracing the spirit of unity and celebration through engaging activities and captivating games. The day concluded with a delightful serving of sweet payasam, a true highlight of the festivities. Cheers to the happiness and harmony that Onam brings!
Honored Guest Mr. Manroop Sehmi Visits AIC RAISE:
On September 20, Mr. Manroop Singh Sehmi, Head of Talent Acquisition Operations and University Relations at Xperi, visited AIC RAISE.

AIC RAISE is delighted to announce that Dinamalar, The Hindu and Dinakaran have recognized our incubator as an implementation incubator for the GENESIS initiative as of September 20. This opportunity strengthens our commitment to empowering businesses, promoting deep-tech innovation, and advancing sustainable solutions throughout Tier II and Tier III cities.
As one of only five incubators from Tamil Nadu, we are dedicated to fostering tech innovation in these areas, supporting businesses with seed funding and mentorship focused on AI, blockchain, IoT, and sustainability.

AIC RAISE had the amazing opportunity to showcase our initiatives at the 30th Elets World Education Summit (2024) on September 25. Our Associate Vice President, Mr. Arun Raaj Manickaraj, and Business Associate, Ms. Vivilliya, engaged in meaningful discussions with global leaders about fostering the entrepreneurial spirit within the student community and shared insights on developing incubation centers within educational institutions.
Industrial Visit: ATAL Basic FDP Bridging Academia and Industry
On September 27, AIC RAISE hosted an industrial visit for participants of the ATAL Basic FDP organized by Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science. This session and tour provided faculty members with valuable insights and stimulating discussions to enhance their academic and professional growth. Participants left inspired and equipped with knowledge to take back to their respective institutions.
Exploring the Future of Food: One-Day Workshop on 3D Food Printing
On September 27, in partnership with Anna University and the Bio Research Innovation Cell (BRIC), AIC RAISE conducted an enlightening one-day workshop on 3D food printing. We explored how technology is set to transform the future of food. The workshop included three sessions:
- Session I: Fundamentals of 3D Food Printing Technology
- Session II: Designing 3D Food Structures Using CAD Models
- Session III: Software Demonstration of 3D Food Printing
Participants gained valuable knowledge on how 3D food printing can revolutionize food production, providing sustainable, healthy, innovative, and efficient solutions.
